What a freindly place the staff were very helpful The food was excellent the wine list had every thing you wanted and the prices were fitting of a restaurant to this standard
Over the years we have visited the restaurant on numerous occasions and had our Christmas meal last year and never been disappointed, however this is our first visit since Pacos departure and we were very surprised in the deteration of the food. We were not asked by any member of staff if the meal was satisfactory both my wife and I were very unhappy, you could actually slice my mashed potato the rest was tasteless.
We had a fantastic Easter Sunday lunch. The waiting staff were really nice and tuned onto my kids needs extra gravy and Yorkshire puds! You will pay slightly more than some local places but it was well worth it for the extra service and lovely lunches.
This was my first visit to Pacos, I had heard great things about Gibside Hotel from friends so I decided to give it a try. It was a fantastic experience with delicious food, excellent service, and great drinks. I would highly recommend it, 10/10.
Four of us visited Paco's last night and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ate off the set menu. £14.95 for two courses and definitely worth the money. The standard of food was very high and the staff were efficient too. Recent pub meals I have had have been of a similar price but not of the same quality. The restaurant wasn't very busy. I really feel The Gibside and Paco's are missing a trick and need to advertise more than they do. The restaurant seems to be a bit forgotten about which is a shame as it is very good.
