Jackson's Cafeteria - Gastonia

The food at this cafeteria was surprisingly good. We both ordered the Roast Beef, which was generously portioned. The only downside was that the au jus seemed to be thickened with corn starch, giving it a heavier consistency than expected. The vegetables, including fried okra, potatoes, and rice, were tasty. Our main issue came when we noticed a drink had been added to our bill despite us only requesting water. When we tried to correct it, they only refunded the cost of the drink and not the tax. The dining room service was excellent and attentive, but be sure to double-check your bill before paying.

After further discussion, the tax was eventually subtracted, but we had some difficulties in getting this adjusted. The service in the dining room was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff.
