I was not happy with the amount of my shrimp. I ordered the 3 choice on the combination plate, flounder the other 2 choice was shrimp. I got a small amount of shrimp compared to amounts of shrimp I've had before. I was very surprised at the small amount for the price I paid. It should have been a double portion. The food has always been good the portions large.
The food was greasy. Oysters were discussing bottom of the barrel tasted old. Deviled crab was just stuffing. All you could taste was the breading and oil. The grease was all over the plate. Salad bar was wilted. Not worth the money and painful stomachs from the food.
Went to this place 20+ years ago with my parents. Was in the area a month ot so ago and went to the restaurant again. Been back a couple times since. It's about an hours drive from where I live and in a direction I rarely travel, but, I will be going backto this restaurant if I'm in the area. I am not a seafood expert but they still serve flounder of some sort that still has theskin with the dark side and light side. I like the dark side by the way. Only seafood restaurant that I know of that still doesthis.
Took over an hour and a half to be served. Had to take my food to go for my family of 3 because the restaurant was closing soon. A family of 7 arrived a 15 minutes after we ordered our food and were served and left before we received our food. I will nevergo back there again.
A salad bar! Yay, Covid is over. Got the fried white fish because I needed a flaky center and almost crunchy crust. Tasted fresh, good enough for me. Partner got whole catfish, piled high very decent portions. Nani got the flounder, yummy. All in all, basket of hushpuppies, baked potato, and the pitcher of sweet tea was left for us on the table. Kim was our server, she 'sbasically family now. Don 't pay extra for salt and pepper because it did not taste like it was added.
