Do yourself a favour and skip the big chain places and go here. Local owner Betty and her friendly staff will give you the inside scoop on local things. And the food is great! I've had the burger platters and they are handmade patties and hand cut fries done just right. The BBQ burger is the best burger in town. Next I'll try the cod fish and chips... We ordered the "signature" French Onion soup. It was very good. However, it took a very long time to arrive. The restaurant/bar is very dimly lit, which is probably a good thing. The waitress is friendly and apologized about the new cook who is slow in his prep.Recommend this for adventurous young couples. Fish and chips great! service great! I couldn't visit with my friend though, the one other table of guests at the far end around the corner were so loud we didn't bother.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Although the building looks like it could be close to foreclosure, the staff was amazing and the food was above average for a bar.
Classic pub food, interesting posters, great vibe, nice patio. They have a stage for trivia night and karaoke as well.
The staff at this restaurant was exceptional, the music was great, and the atmosphere was awesome. They treated us very well.
Went on a Monday, which meant we had to order from a 'Munchie Menu ' since they didn 't have a full fledged cook on shift. So our choices were mainly limited to deep fried items, but having said that everything was still tasty and served plenty hot. Prices were reasonable for both food and drinks. After this experience, I would return to try the full menu.
