While travelling through the province, my husband and I decided to stop here. We always enjoy Jungle Jims when we come home to Newfoundland for a visit. We both ordered their fish/chips plate. The portions are very large and the food was amazing. Always a good choice to eat here. Our server was very friendly bs the food was served promptly. View all feedback.

Oops we did it again. 1st time back in a while. Apparently we'll never learn. We arrived at, what we figured, was an optimal time as the place was almost empty. 1 hour to get out food post order! ONE HOUR! Never expect fast service here. Something else you can expect is very little chicken in the quasidilas. Maybe 1/4 of a chicken breast in the dish. This is not an exaggeration in the least. You finally broke me Jung... View all feedback.
Expensive piece fish and chips that was mostly a pile of dark brown fries. I realize thus place is a chain and more for drinking; however the waitress said they batter the fish theirselves so we opted to try. Greasy. Skip it and have...a beer instead!
We were staying at the Comfort Inn next door so we went at and put our names down for a table, we waited only about minutes before a table became available. I ordered the honey garlic chicken bowl with rice and hubby ordered...a burger. We enjoyed a drink while waiting for our meal, which came with only a few minutes wait. I really enjoyed the rice bowl and ate most of it despite having had a late lunch. My husband said the burger was ok but nothing special. But the service was great with friendly wait staff, the restaurant was clean and staff cleaned the tables well after each group of guests.
Frequently, my wife and I travel through Gander and we are never disappointed in our stop to this Jungle Jim’s location. Tonight was no exception. We were warmly greeted, seated promptly and drink order taken and delivered to the table very fast. Our server Jess...was just wonderful, efficient and very accommodating. Our meals were served up fresh, tasty and hot and reasonably priced. We will “swing on in” here again…
We have eaten at other Jungle Jim’s, so knew what to expect. We arrived at around pm on a Sunday, there were other customers, but the restaurant was not at capacity, even with the reduced numbers allowed by the Covid pandemic. The restaurant...was clean, and staff were masked, they were provided with plenty of spray sanitizers and they were using them frequently on all surfaces. I ordered the honey garlic chicken bowl, my husband ordered the monkey finger platter with a side salad. Service was prompt and the food was tasty. The basmati rice in my chicken bowl was well prepared, fluffy, not sticky, and the chicken and veggies hot and tasty. My husband’s chicken was good with well prepared side salads. We enjoyed our meal.
Our first time in the afternoon was good, we had appetizers and beers, and then went to legends for supper, then came back to legends for a night cap. We tried to order beers, but were told company policy that we had to order an...appetizer in order to get beers or drinks, we had just eaten earlier, why would we want to eat again. Waitress said it was company policy that we had to order food in order to drink, correct me if I am wrong, but bar sales usually generate more than food sales, let’s say they lost people in less than minutes. The food was ok the first time, but we didn’t want to order food the second time around, we just wanted drinks and we were denied.
