Super great, cozy location in the middle of the vineyards. Erich, the winemaker and professional, gave us the best advice and we were able to taste several wines. The boss was extremely nice and very accommodating. We were served really good snacks, all locally produced. Super great, highly recommended. Greetings from Tyrol Service: 5 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Great view

Weinschmiede 18 is a Buschenschank. That's why there are no warm meals there and opening times are limited. But that's not a disadvantage, because what's on offer leaves little to be desired, especially with the sumptuous breakfast, especially since the wine on offer from the in house winery is very tasty, at least during the day or in the evening. The location of the Weinschmiede is fantastic. You “live” in the middle of the vineyard and have a fantastic view over the southern Styrian landscape. The Weinschmide is perfect as a starting point for bike trips. Even if the steep climbs in the area are not long, exploring the area with an e bike is more fun, especially for leisure cyclists. If you then have a perfect hostess like Bettina, nothing is missing to be happy. When booking, however, you should take into account how long you want to stay. If you are staying for a longer period of time we stayed for 11 days the ground floor rooms in the new building are certainly preferable to those in the old former manor house, as the accommodation there is simply more spacious. We have a little suggestion for our lovely host Bettina: Since the Weinschmiede often does not offer service in the afternoons and evenings and you are self catering, it would be nice if the wines were sold outside of the restaurant for a take away price. In our opinion, you don't have to spend around 20 euros for a (cheap? bottle at a winery. There's no point in getting wine cheaper elsewhere. But that's just a small side note and shouldn't detract from our rating. Finally, we hope that the last storms haven't caused any major damage and that the little tomcat that just came to the farm when we were guests is growing and thriving splendidly.
