Guinness was perfect meal was standard enough nothing special service was excellent and friendly . Would recommend to anyone passing through or staying in Leenane. Meal for 2 starter and main course plus 2 drinks came in at 65 euros.

My husband and... read more We stopped in at Hamilton 's Bar after a day of 'cross country ' driving and enjoying the scenery. The bar was quite full, so we sat at the bar. My husband and I shared the Seafood Platter, consisting of smoked salmon, smoked mackerel, mussels, oysters, calamari, shrimp, coleslaw, potato salad, green salad. Excellent! A nice place to stop into on our drive.

The mussels were fresh and delicious, the seafood chowder creamy and rich, and the crispy buttermilk chicken goujons were also really good.

The food was a tasty fish... read more June 2025: A great traditional pub in Leenaun just south of the head of the fjiord; nice pint of Guinness and a half of the Zero too. The food was a tasty fish and chips and the goat cheese parcel with salad. If you are in a Motorhome or camper van you can park overnight opposite in the public carpark for free which comes with a great view over the waters of the fjord.
