Description

Kylemore Abbey offers a mixed dining experience, with some disappointed by the food quality and lack of jam with certain dishes. The cafe provides beautiful views and delicious food at reasonable prices, contrary to initial expectations. The property itself is stunning, with an overcrowded atmosphere due to tourism. Visitors can explore the gardens, enjoy vegan options, and learn about the history of the abbey. A visit to Kylemore Abbey promises a deep cultural experience, perfect for a day out in Ireland. Overall, the venue offers a unique experience, blending scenic beauty with historical significance.

This is definitely a place you should visit; a whole day isn't enough to properly see all the treasures in the park, forest, and abbey. Thank you for this experience.

We saw the abby, church, and gardens. All very lovely. The entire complex is both beautiful and historical! A must see when visiting Galway!

A very beautiful and well-maintained complex, friendly staff, and plenty to explore. In my opinion, the prices in the shop and the restaurant were very high. I thought I 'd only be able to buy local products there, but unfortunately, Made in China was also present in many areas. Well, commercialism has certainly taken over everywhere. 100g of chocolate for €6 is quite steep, and a slice of cake for €6.40... well, let 's just say it 's not worth it. But everyone has to decide that for themselves. The entire complex, including the garden, is definitely worth a visit.

Such a beautiful place! Enjoyed the historical talk and the self-guided tour. The bus to the gardens was a benefit. Tea-room lovely as well!

I visited on a Monday around noon. The interior of the Abbey was interesting, with some fun historical information, but the grounds were my favorite part of the visit. I wish we had had more time 1.5 hours was not enough, I recommend 2 to 3 hours to fully explore the Abbey and grounds. The shuttle to the formal garden supposedly ran every 15 minutes, but did not pass us when we walked down to the garden and (later) back. The walk is about 15 to 20 minutes each way.
