Murphy's Pub - Galveston
Murphy's Pub
Description
Murphy's Irish Pub presents a complex dining experience that leaves patrons divided. While the food, particularly the white pizza, garners praise for its taste, recent visits reveal inconsistencies in quality, with some dishes arriving undercooked. The establishment, once cherished for its welcoming ambiance and reliable service, has been criticized for its shift towards high prices and perceived indifference from bartenders. While lively atmospheres with entertainment are highlights, unfortunate decisions, like refusing service to families on St. Patrick’s Day, have tarnished its reputation. Ultimately, Murphy's remains a spot with potential, contingent on the day’s service and food quality.

Bar was cool but very warm in the dart board area and only 2 darts for 2 boards. Drinks were great.
Lots of good beer options and good service. Definitely has that old-school Irish pub vibe. Definitely recommended.
Second visit to Galveston, second time it got rained out, second time I ended up at an Irish Pub. Funny thing though, it happened to be the same Irish Pub and my birthday. The staff and other patrons were awesome, we had a great night lubrication proudly presented by Mr Jameson and Mr Guinness. Jukebox, food, pool and other games all available, will definitely head back should I be back in Galveston
