The service was great, quick and friendly. The food was amazing. My wife and I shared a plate salmon and broccoli. The salmon was perfectly cooked, as was the broccoli. I appreciate a place that knows how to cook broccoli it a tender and perfectly seasoned. View all feedback.
What Angie Proctor doesn't like about Yaga's Cafe:
Waitress argued with us when we asked for cocktail sauce after she accidentally brought us marinara for our shrimp. The manager made it right and comped us a dessert on top of that. We were thankful. Probably need to train staff better on the difference between marinara and cocktail. It was visually different and certainly tasted different! View all feedback.
Drinks seemed watered. Idk if its the law or trying to save money
The atmosphere was fantastic. It's a quaint cafe with an outside patio to sit at. We stayed inside because it was so hot. Our waitress was so sweet (I can't remember her name! Maybe Sophia? Ling dark hair, khaki cargos, kind of a quieter voice) and quick to get refills and our orders in. The crawfish croquettes were phenomenal; full of flavor and the perfect texture. My husband had the Death Burger and I had the Baja tacos (blackened fish) the burger was incredible; intense flavor (in a good way), juicy and you didn't get a bad bite. My baja tacos were fabulous such a refreshing, party in your mouth flavor and the rice beans on the side were delicious. Highly recommend visiting this joint if you're ever in the Galveston area!
Yaga was a wonderful find. Award winning gumbo, amazing Baja fish tacos, sweet potato tots. We had a large party the waitress was great.
