My wife was feeling like pasta so I did a search for Italian Restaurants near me while in Galveston. I checked out several from the results but saw that Trattoria la Vigna makes their own pasta so booked a reservation just based upon this. OMG, what a very pleasant surprise to say the least. Food was excellent. However there seemed to be an issue with the kitchen getting orders out timely as our food took a long time. And the restaurant knew we had a show at 8pm (as did most of the patrons in the restaurant). Our food arrived at 7:45 and we had to rush to eat to get to the show on time. Trattoria la vigna is our obligatory stop in galveston unfortunately in my immense joy and demand for her to do the photos I have completely forgotten, my brain was on my palate at the moment when they brought us the food! try the octopus appetizer, the seafood risotto! and the attention and friendliness of the people who work there is unmatched. can it go on forever!
Cute, small restaurant. I suggest making reservations. Service very friendly and inviting. The anti pasta board was a great appetizer. The salads were very good. The entrees were absolutely delicious. The four of us all loved our choices. Shrimp scampi with homemade pasta, vegetable lasagna, and eggplant parmigiana were amazing. Everything is fresh and homemade, so dinner takes a while. Good wine list. So glad to have found this little gem!
This is our favorite restaurant in galveston and we loved every dish we tried. great service and atmosphere too.
It is always a treat to have a meal here. The food and service are excellent. Sometimes the tables seem very close to each other but overall the atmosphere is nice
