To start, I freaking loved it. Haven't had kbbq since my Denver days 15+ years ago. Heard about this place from a coworker and we brought my bestie and her husband and son! I wasn't sure if it would go well for everyone but there were zero complaints! Everyone loved everything we put into our mouth. We even did the cow tongue! It was such a good experience, we went at opening and did the AYCE more pricy package and i... View all feedback.
What Webster Pfannerstill doesn't like about Beque Holic:
We got the AYCE option, definitely recommend the beef bulgogi, it was really tasty and flavorful. Dumplings were fresh but not as tasty as it should be. I think overall it’s a little pricey for the quality and service they’re offering. View all feedback.
First. what a learning curve. we decided to get the ayce (like most tables). every table cooks most of their food on a sunken round grill. not yet certain to use which sauces for certain meats. the server were attentive, but our principal spoke very quickly during the instructions. some articles were better than others. leave it on them to choose the meat / seafood, although I would not get the tintenfisch. it was funny, but now that I had the experience that we will not strike back. we were there for two hours waiting for food and then cooking. we were not stuffed and on the way home for dessert.
My friends and I went there for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy and were able to sit down immediately. Our waiter was amazing and very helpful so were the other staff who helped us. Majority of the food was really amazing! The creamy bulgogi, pork kalbi and the Korean fried chicken wings were my favorite! The drinks were good as well could’ve been a little bit stronger! The only con was some of the food was a little flavorless like the shrimp and NY Steak. And I also wish they had noodles. But other than that it was a really nice restaurant with a great atmosphere and good food. I would recommend going!
Great food, great Soju cocktails, and Bradley is a great server. Beque is definitely a must stop spot if you live in Gainesville. (EDIT) Sadly, I have to edit my 5-star review to three stars. My GF and I come here almost once a week, but ever since Seoul Pocha opened up it hasn’t been the same. They no longer have the sweet soy sauce(by far the best sauce) or the original hot sauce that came with the oil and salt, which are two of the most popular sauces. They just have Gochujang, ssomjang, and a bland yum yum sauce. Corn cheese has been on the menu for over a year now, but they’ve never had it even once so idk why it’s still on there. Last time I went,(yesterday) the quality of meat seemed to go down. The Bulgogi was too thick, the brisket was fatty and hard to chew, and without a sweet sauce to balance the spicy and savory, the food is rather flavorless. KBbQ is supposed to be all about the meat and the sauce, but the offering of flavors is rather one dimensional now.

My family was super excited to try this spot as we typically love a ‘cook your own meat’ styled restaurant. We were pretty disappointed in our experience for a few reasons. First, the service did not really correlate to the type of service you would expect at a place where you are spending at least $35 a person. It was somewhat unprofessional feeling and just not great service overall. Second, the meats were just underwhelming. The cuts were fatty and knives are not provided- so this led to a strange predicament for us where we had to attempt to use our teeth as saws to eat them, especially the steak… I don’t enjoy writing a bad review, so I will keep this brief, but just know when you are going to Beque Holic, do not anticipate a high end dining experience. I hope we just came in on an off day, but something tells me that we didn’t..
