My partner and I visited this restaurant on a Saturday around 6:00 and Shanti was our server. We started with some guacamole (DIY style, as they provide a bowl of avocados, a masher, and spices to mix in) which was delicious. I had a regular margarita while my partner had the Boca Marg, both of which were excellent. We had a great time and enjoyed the drinks throughout the night. For dinner, we had steak burritos whi... The gator rice bean bowl was mine as if I were back in san antonio or nola. fantastic seasoning, not excessively salty, yum yum. I will get more of it and try other options.
I never felt as despicable in a restaurant as I did this evening in boca fiesta. they usually close at 11 o'clock. I guess they closed this morning. we arrived at 10:30 a.m. and stood out where they have their host station. for almost ten minutes we stood where we looked at rest. there were at least 5 employees who would consider their respective tasks within the one who would occasionally look at my wife, and I then turn back and go over their business. a man who had already forgotten something and came back and had let the door in before us, of a young man who worked there and nobody could tell us anything. after a 45-minute drive there and then return to the house, I am still very upset. I still gave them 2 stars because eating there in the rule is excellent, but I am now very unhappy with the service.
One of my favorite places in the city! their twp tacos are absolutely delicious and the Gator bites were sooo good. their margaritas are delicious and always ordered. what I didn't know is that Mondays are BOGO margaritas! it is worth going on a Monday!
Friendly staff and always top notch food. It was busier than I really felt comfortable with, but I really can't blame people for wanting their food. They do have outdoor seating and karaoke outside on the night I went
Boca has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Gainesville. Always fun to come with friends. Maybe not the most authentic Mexican food, but it still tastes good. I love their tempeh I don’t know how they get it to taste so good. This most recent time we just got apps and got the DIY guacamole (which I wish came with red onion and diced tomatoes) and fried gator bites (awesome). I used to always get the tempeh taco salad. The margaritas are fantastic. The little bar in the back, Backyard, is also a good time especially if you happen to be there for thursday trivia. It’s just such a nice vibe here and will always hold a special spot in my heart!
