Ordered 2 cheeseburgers, 1 all the way 1 well done, everything except onions Received 2 cheeseburgers, both almost fully cooked , both with onions and I guess miracle whip? Or their idea of hamburger sauce maybe? Who knows, but when the ground beef (if that's what that was) is still very pink, that means it's not done, definitely not well done.. the French fries tasted like the cheeseburger, they both tasted like cardboard. I wouldn't feed this too my dog's . For a small town with no grocery stores, (no, sav a lot is NOT a grocery store, more like a roach motel) the dollar stores are pathetic, and only a Mc Donald's, all are sub par, you'd think having a restaurant you would have a little pride and make sure your food was cooked correctly and the order put together correct . But just another bland fast food joint that even when there's nothing else open you'd rather drive 30 miles to go somewhere else. Nice little town with no where decent, clean, or food with eating, it's like the businesses just don't care. The only businesses that take pride and have any work ethics are the convenience stores, the new owners have and continue to CARE about their business and customers. Frostproof can do better, they just choose not to.
I hesitate to write this review because the people we met there were very nice folks. Ten hours after eating there I became violently ill I spent half the night on my knees in my bathroom vomiting . The place needs a professional deep cleaning. Then someone needs to come in and teach these fine people how to clean. As some else mentioned in a older review, the refill coffee pot was filthy. It had a layer of crud on it you could use a chisel off. Like I said, the staff was very nice, but it seems they've become uncaring or complacent. It appears they've basically lost any sense of pride in keeping a clean store. A couple of waitresses were just sitting around focused on their phones. One was complaining that she only had 13 customers all day. I can understand why.
Our first experience was really good. Great food, good service and good prices. Although, the bathrooms were very dirty and they could replace the toilet seats. Will go back and hope the bathrooms get cleaned.
The best biscuit and gravy I've ever eaten. They add sausage patties and eggs between the biscuit and the gravy. Add a side of fried potatoes.
Stopped by for a late breakfast on Saturday. What a treat! Great food, attentive and friendly service clean and laid back. No wonder it gets busy. Highly recommended.
