This restaurant is in dire need of new management. My husband's burger was served hot, but mine was just at room temperature. The fountain drink dispenser was clogged and overflowing. They also failed to provide any drink lids, and several tables were dirty. Furthermore, the service staff did not offer any napkins or ketchup.
It’s evident that this location has little interest in improving its service. Numerous reviews have pointed out the same issues, yet nothing has changed in over a year. It’s disappointing that a restaurant cherished by many Texans can’t offer better customer service. There seems to be a reluctance to enhance the experience, as the staff appear comfortable delivering subpar service. I've noticed employees wearing AirPods while idly standing around and ignoring customers, among other instances of very poor service. I strongly suggest finding a different Whataburger because this one has truly hit a low point. It’s unfortunate, as this location used to perform quite well. Perhaps the only thing that would motivate them to change is if fewer customers showed up at night and they experienced a drop in revenue; even then, I doubt they’d care. I’ve even reached out to their hotline about the long wait times and poor service, and while they promised to take action, nothing has changed. The ONLY reason I didn’t give a one-star rating is that I genuinely enjoy the food.
My husband and I visited Texas for the first time on our honeymoon, and we decided to take advantage of the opportunity to try some fast food chains that we don't have back home. I instantly fell in love with their White Chocolate Raspberry shake and found myself craving it every day of our trip. So much so that when we returned home, I ordered the key ingredients to attempt to recreate it. It turned out quite well! The staff was also very friendly and respectful, which made our experience even more enjoyable.
At this Whataburger, being sent to lane B means the drivers behind you get their orders first. This has happened to me several times, even when ordering simple breakfast items. Once, I ordered a cinnamon roll that was dry and tough. On another visit, I waited in line for 20 minutes and arrived at the order box about five minutes after 11 AM, only to have them refuse to take my breakfast order. Every time I use this drive-thru, I’m reminded why I’ve promised myself not to return to this location.
We're from California and had to try Whataburger since it's often called the South's In-N-Out. Plus, it was the only place open at 1 a.m., so we decided to give it a shot. At first, we were a bit disappointed because the food looked soggy and unappetizing. However, everything turned out to be surprisingly delicious. My boyfriend got a burger and said it was great. I had a chicken sandwich that was flavorful without being too salty. The cinnamon buns weren’t quite like Cinnabon, but not bad for a drive-thru treat. We would definitely go back.
