**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Experiences**

This restaurant evokes nostalgia for some with its once-renowned Mexican fare, but recent visits reveal a decline in both quality and atmosphere. While several diners commend the welcoming staff and clean environment, others express disappointment over inflated prices and reduced portion sizes. The once-bustling atmosphere now feels empty, with complaints about loud patrons detracting from the dining experience. Although a few guests rave about the delicious food and service, the inconsistency leaves many questioning their return. Overall, this establishment seems to navigate a challenging transition, leaving diners divided on whether to keep it as a dining option.

Was Miguel Magallanes at Jocy's Fine Mexican a mag?

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The place was clean, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. The waitress was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The food was delicious and homemade, just like mom used to make. I felt very comfortable there and will definitely return. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a perfect 5! What Dennis Oikle dislikes about Jocy's Fine Mexican:

This is not the same place as the twenty teens. Recipes have changed and not for the better, still decent food. Gone are the dinner crowds of happy blue collar workers. Place mostly empty 9-6-23 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.

Used to be one of our once a month Mexican food joints before. This was our first time back in over a year, and boy, the prices shot through the roof, and the plates are smaller. The day we went, there was a group there with two women that was so loud we literally couldn't hear each other's words. My chorizo and eggs were so greasy that you could use it to change the oil in your car. Sad, but we won't be back again. Got the chile colorado combination which had rice and beans with some factory made tortillas on the side. Was decent. Problem was the laminated menu had no prices for anything when you order. So you order at your risk. Got the bill and it was decent I suppose for what I ordered? The booth bench seats were weird. when you sit down you sink in like the cushions were blown out. Food was great, BUT waiter could have been nicer! She gave a total lie to the table. She said the recipt was the cash price, and indeed it was not! It was the credit card price. She was trying to over charge everyone. On top of that, I was in a group of like 10, 15 people. We paid in groups. My group was only 2 people, and EVERYONE had to pay the gratuity of 20%. OUTRAGEOUS!!! I will never come back because I shouldnt have to pay 50 dollars for a meal of two that actually cost 30 bucks at most. On top of that, the meal was extremely small. If they really want to charge me outrageously, make your meals bigger! Never again!!!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

The food is delicious, but I gave 2 stars because I think it's shady how they don't put the prices on the menu. I ended up paying way more than expected. What I ordered shouldn't have costed that much. Also the waitress didn't bring chips salsa until I asked if we could get chips salsa. She seemed very distracted, but other than me my friend there was only 2 other people in there at the time. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
