What laurie Syvrud dislikes about Carl’s Jr.:
I ordered chicken stars and received just one ranch dipping sauce. The medium soda I got was mostly ice—about three-quarters of the cup was filled with it—and for $3.49, I only managed to take three sips before it was gone. There was one car ahead of me in the drive-thru, and it took five minutes to place my order. I opted for takeout for dinner, and my meal cost between $10 and $20. Overall, I rate the food a 1, the... The food was great. The burger was top tier. Lettuce was crisp. But I got to know where they got their tomatoes! It was on point! . Absolute 10/10 would recommend this location. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Burger
So disappointed. Here is my chicken wrap. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
I had a spicy western cheese burger. The food was cold, and the onion rings in the burger were old. I would have gone back and got a refund, but we were headed home. Very lousy. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

While driving on Highway 99, we decided to stop for some fast food. Unfortunately, after placing our order, we waited 30 minutes and an additional 20 minutes after paying. We only ordered a #2 combo meal and a single beef steak burrito. Feeling exhausted from the delay, we headed to the restroom to wash our hands and then went to the dining area to eat. When we received our food, we were disappointed to find that the burger was a single patty instead of a double, and the steak in the burrito was tough, rubbery, and fatty—unidentifiable as any real meat. When we mentioned the mistake about the burger, the employee who prepared our order refused to take responsibility and began arguing with the cashier, blaming them for the mix-up. Instead of fixing our order, they stood around bickering with each other. Frustrated by their lack of professionalism and teamwork, we decided not to waste any more time dealing with the three incompetent workers. We left our food on the counter and walked out. In the end, we spent $24 just to wash our hands and wait 45 minutes, leaving us hungry. There was no manager present to address these issues, just three confused employees who couldn’t even work together effectively.
The food at Carl's is consistently good, but at this location, it seems like the staff is never really working. There's rarely anyone at the counter. However, they do manage to get your food out quickly. Overall, it's good food, even if the service could be more attentive.
After being turned away by McDonald's, I came here and had a fantastic meal. I would give it a perfect 10/10!
I stopped by the drive-thru and ordered some food, which was truly tasty—just what you'd expect. However, the cashier's attitude was disappointing. She seemed quite unhappy, which felt off-putting, especially since she was the one taking my order. There was no greeting or well wishes; instead, I was met with eye rolls along with my food.
My friend and I stopped at Carl’s Jr. on our way back from Yosemite, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long while. The food was fresh, fast, and absolutely tasty, while the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. John Q is a real gem! I just wish I didn’t live all the way in Michigan!
