The positives: Excellent atmosphere and ambiance. Everyone was very courteous throughout our visit. Our waitress was attentive and gracious; a very nice young lady who seemed to show up at just the right times! The food tasted very good and was presented well. The only slight negative we had was that our steaks could have been flavored a little more. Overall a great experience and we will be back!
For some reason two of our group never received their loaded potato due to “issues in kitchen.” Wrong steaks were placed in front of 3 of our guests requiring a lot of plate swapping. Three of the steaks were badly overcooked. Had to ask for crackers. Had to ask twice for tartar sauce. I had made the suggestion to go there for our three couples on New Year’s Eve. I felt guilty about the experience since there were so many other good options. We are not complaining people and did not that night. But with the new ownership this doesn’t bode well. Bottom line…they lost six regular customers.
We had a reservation and was told they were getting our table ready so we waiting ten minutes after our reservation time. We sat down and it took 15 minutes for our server to come to the table. We almost got up and left. The server was very apologetic about the wait, but it never got any better. The only positive thing to say was my drink from the bar was great, but they took around 15 minutes as well. But the bar was slammed. We ordered the charcuterie plate which was the cheap squares of cheddar and Jack cheese, some grapes, couple slices of sausage and way too many pickled okra. It was something I could get for 5 dollars at the grocery store. Hubby and I both order steak specials. Mine come out VERY overcooked. But at this time I was done. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly. We waited forever for our server to come back and finally I had to get up for someone to get him to come back to our table. I sent the steak back and did not ask for a replacement. We asked for the check and it again took around 15 minutes. We will definitely not go back to the steak house ever again.
Forgot the appetizer until the entrees were served; no presentation on the dinner plate; meat potato just put on a plate; redfish not edible due to high salt; filets were excellent as was the sweet potato. They did not charge for the appetizer. Side salad decent. Martini seemed watered down I question it was of gin requested.
