Description

Glenham Town Deli in the Beacon/Glenham/Fishkill area delivers old‑school deli charm with warm, attentive service and hearty, freshly made breakfast and lunch. Offerings include excellent thin‑sliced roast beef, a wide selection of cold cuts, homemade salads and standout eggplant slices, plus a secret “Eric” special. Portions are generous, and recent ownership has added favorites like meatballs and tuna. Popular with locals, workers and hikers seeking a satisfying, no‑frills meal, it’s an endorsed go‑to for quality, quantity and friendly hospitality.

I didn't go to that place. Instead, I visited Waves by Diana and then took my grandchildren to Laby's for pizza. However, I have been to Glenham Town Deli before and thought it was excellent. They offer a fantastic selection of cold cuts and fresh homemade salads. I'm especially fond of their eggplant slices.

A typical corner store you'd find in New York.

If you're visiting the Beacon, Glenham, or Fishkill area and want a spot that offers incredible homemade food with generous portions, you have to check out Nick's Delicatessen. Working nearby, I often stopped in for breakfast or lunch, and no matter the time, James would always greet you warmly as soon as you walked through the door. It’s a welcoming vibe that reminds me of the classic delis I loved as a kid. The food is delicious, made fresh to order, and the portions are just right—you’ll leave satisfied, so come hungry. After a day of hiking or exploring the area, be sure to swing by Nick's Delicatessen and say hi to James and the crew. Try the Eric Special, a secret menu item you won’t regret. This place gets my full endorsement and is absolutely worth your visit.
