We went there on a week night and they were not busy. The owner and chef recommended the Tuscan Bread soup (which was like a paste) and rabbit sauce pasta dish. Very tasty food. We had the sweet yogurt for desert. It was one of the best meals in our 10 day Italy trip. They do have a limited menu as all the items are raised/grown from their farm, but all soooo good. Definitely worth a visit.
We had not realised that they only sell what they grow. This results in a fairly limited menu but all our choices were of exceptional quality from the figs to the wine. Service was friendly and helpful, overall the place was fantastic and a highlight of our visit.
We were staying at a guest house literally around the corner from the Terra Etruria, and one night we were not feeling up to the trip to the restaurant we had planned. We went out with few expectations beyond eating nearby, and this was the first restaurant we passed (though there are two or three others right by it). At first we were the only patrons there (it wasn 't really that early), but after we received our antipasti we literally began to wave others looking in the window to join us. The server spoke perfect English and clearly had a strong connection to the food. My wife almost never takes pictures of food, but she made an exception here. Not only do they cook their own food, but they serve their own wine and all of it is excellent. As noted by other reviewers, they serve classic rustic meals, following family recipes that are generations old. They take the same approach to their wine, producing one wine that they cannot call a Chianti these days, though it is made the way that Chianti used to be made. The food is not only excellent, but very affordable, and the wine is especially well priced. The meal we had here was tied for the best we had during two weeks in Rome and Tuscany.
Had an amazing dinner with my husband! Homecook and freshly prepared genuine Tuscany food! The red wine was amazing ! An unpretentious dining place ! Reasonable price and the owner Riccardo is very friendly and knowledgeable with all the ingredients used! You can also buy genuine olive oil and many other Tuscany products on sale at the shop ! Highly recommended !
I don’t regularly post on Tripadvisor but after tonight definitely want to endorse this place. We had scheduled to go for dinner from the a la carte but on arrival was informed that they were having a special night of food inspired by a local sheep’s cheese produce. What proceeded to happen was a wonderful 4 course set menu accompanied by various wines all from produce of a local Tuscan farm. The head chef made the effort to welcome us and translate the menu to English for us. A great night of food and great service. Thanks again !
