The Irish Loop Restaurant, along the scenic Irish Loop drive, offers a cozy diner-style atmosphere with a great view of the bay. Serving good seafood chowder and other dishes, it is a nice stop while exploring the picturesque coastal towns along the Avalon Peninsula. Despite some potholes on the road, the area is full of natural beauty, charming communities, and stunning vistas. Visitors recommend taking the time to explore the side roads for a more in-depth experience. Overall, the Irish Loop is a must-see destination for nature lovers and those looking to discover the beauty of Newfoundland.

We spent a week exploring the Irish Loop. It is a beautiful coastal drive around the Avalon Peninsula. The Eastern Coastal Trail follows roughly the same route and we hiked it in a few different locations....great views and wonderful cliff tops to sit and watch the whales frolicking. The Loop is chock full of quaint fishing villages each with their own charm. The only drawback is the very rough (in areas) road - lots of potholes on the main road so just be aware and ENJOY!!

We did the Irish Loop in last days of June and were surprised by how slow the speeds were posted and how many pot holes there were. The driver best keep eyes on the road when viewing the scenery along the way. Interesting villages one after another. We did get a treat and saw an iceberg at the southern tip. Take your time and enjoy the ride...don't go if you're pressed for time as the road conditions and speed will drive you crazy.

We loved this area ! It was full of amazing Newfoundland coastline vistas. We kept driving through side roads and enjoyed seeing the actual communities that people lived in. Almost everything is well kept freshly painted and

The coastal drive is stunning and offers opportunities to stop in small towns along the way to explore what they have to offer. However, the area is quite populated, so it can be challenging to find parking. Be sure to stop whenever you can to fully enjoy the experience.
