Nestled in tiny Fairplay, this chef-driven, seasonal spot blends bold Southwestern ingredients and refined technique—roasted cactus, chayote squash, fried oysters and standout salads—served in a warm, inviting room. Service is often knowledgeable and friendly and steaks can be exceptional, but the menu is small, prices are upscale, and patrons sometimes encounter out-of-stock entrees, uneven cocktails and occasional billing or takeout inconsistencies. Reservations are recommended for adventurous diners seeking unique local flavor.

Absolutely excellent food came hot. Service was fast and very friendly. Music was not loud, and overall a good atmosphere

This place is great. It is definitely a farm to place table type. The food is wonderful. I got the trout and my wife got the short rib. We had the cheese-shorted appetizer. Service was great and we loved the atmosphere. I would recommend a reservation.

The first time here, visited Sunday afternoon at 5:00. As the language recording says when you call, reservations are strongly recommended as they are not in full staff. It was pretty busy and I'm glad we called the day before. We got the cheese curds first and they were great! Steaks were ordered for the main course and were ok, but nothing above the top. For dessert we ordered the fried chimichanga with fruit very tasty and it did not take long: Yes, you should check this place when you are in the area. We will probably be back, but we will first see other restaurants in the area. 1 star for the steaks and general high prices.
