What Maximus Donnelly likes about French Quarter Brasserie and Oyster Bar:
A friend recommended the French Quarter Brasserie last week, so my wife and I decided to try it for Brunch yesterday. The food was delicious! The service corresponded to the quality of the food. Sherry was very pleasant and so was the owner. But we were devastated when the owner told us it was the last day for kajun foods. You change to pizza and burgers. We just ordered a lot of food to go to Lol. View all feedback. What Leer Bow doesn't like about French Quarter Brasserie and Oyster Bar:
Rarely have we eaten such terrible food. We did not finish our meals even though we were hungry. My cup of gumbo soup was a muddle of shredded chicken and such hot peppers I could not taste anything else. My wife and I are both Louisiana natives, born & bred, and throughly enjoyed our brunch at FQB Fairfax today Service: OUTSTANDING.
I and a friend from New Orleans have eaten at the French Quarter Brasserie several times for lunch and dinner.

read moreFrench Quarter Brasserie received a mix of reviews from customers, with some highlighting the good food and friendly service, while others expressed disappointment in the quality and authenticity of the Cajun cuisine. Some reviewers found the food to be delicious, with specific dishes like the charbroiled oysters and crawfish étouffée receiving praise. However, there were complaints about slow service, lack of gluten-free options, and dishes not meeting expectations in terms of flavor and traditional Cajun taste. Despite these criticisms, the restaurant was also commended for its cozy atmosphere and good prices. Overall, it seems that French Quarter Brasserie may have potential for some, but others may be better off exploring different dining options in the area.
Food was simply not good. Not fresh, no care in preparation. Server was confused over and over again about our order and requests. Avoid this spot.
