Wait staff seems thin. No knock on them, they were hustling but it took a long time to get simple things (like a check and then for the cash to be picked up...about minutes. I wound up leaving it on the table Not their fault and by no means a reflection other than like many places, staff shortages are really taxing those who are working beyond reasonable limits

The waitress was rude, forgot many things, and we waited over an hour for our food with no apology or explanation. Food came cold and simple requests like ketchup and a coffee were ignored. Honestly felt like she didn’t want to be there and didn’t want us there. So disappointing for a normally good restaurant

It was supposed to com... read more The service was AMAZING, the ambiance was excellent, unfortunately my meal was very disappointing. I ordered the filet with lobster meat. It was supposed to come with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies (but I asked for just broccoli instead of mixed veggies). The broccoli cooked by either steaming or boiling but by the time it reached the table it was a cold soggy mess. I also didn’t receive the mashed potatoes that was listed on the menu. At least the steak was good and the lobster was EXCELLENT. The Oreo cookie cheesecake was also a hit at our table. Besides the broccoli and lack of mashed potatoes I wouldn’t change anything.

However, during my latest visit, while the service remained outstanding, the food was disappointing and didn’t meet my expectations. We both ordered the pear and blue cheese salad, which was visually unappealing and primarily made up of lettuce. To make matters worse, no bread was served with our meal. The quesadilla was excessively greasy and left me feeling a bit nauseous. Despite this experience, we plan to give Brickside Grille another chance, believing this was just an unusual off-day. The atmosphere was both pleasant and laid-back, striking a perfect balance between casual and sophisticated. The prices were quite reasonable, with a wide range of choices available. Even the children's meals were budget-friendly, costing between $7 and $8. The wines and other drinks were also fairly priced, particularly for the area, and I had expected them to be higher. The more affordable drink options allowed for greater flexibility when selecting dishes. All in all, the service was outstanding. I enjoyed dinner there, and the average cost per person ranged from $30 to $50.

Even though it was Thursday, the restaurant was as bustling as it is on weekends, yet we were seated right away. The live music was perfectly balanced, providing a pleasant backdrop that made conversation easy without the need to raise our voices. Our server, Victoria, was charming and extremely attentive.

We had our meal on the patio on a beautiful day, which was made even better by our server, Dakota. Dakota's cheerful personality, positive attitude, and excellent service really enhanced our visit. It’s impressive how much a server can impact the dining experience, and Dakota made ours truly memorable. The food is always excellent; I highly recommend the jumbo crab roll—it's one of my favorites and absolutely delicious.
