The water is often calm thanks to the protective reef, and there’s a lifeguard on duty most of the time, adding an extra layer of safety. The visibility is excellent, and you can explore a variety of marine life just a few feet from the shore. Parking at Turtle Bay Resort can be a bit pricey, with a fee of around $35 per night for resort guests, but there are also some free parking options available if you’re just visiting the beach for the day. Whilst I really enjoyed my food and the cocktails at happy hour, all the vegan options apart from one (which wasn’t available) are fake chicken which isn’t for everyone. Also, I guess as a result of the bottomless brunch, what we expected to be a chilled out dinner at 5.30pm was really raucous! The music wasn’t exactly giving a Caribbean vibe either. Having said that the staff were great as was the service, and I enjoyed my food, just don’t expect a chilled out dining experience. Probably not ideal for a romantic dinner for two or for families at this time on a Saturday.
