Couldn't fault the food or staff. It was very busy Sunday afternoon but we didn't feel rushed. The staff were running around but always found time if you needed anything. The whole atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Sunday lunch was delicious. I had the small and it was still huge. Great value for money. Will visit again if we're in this part of the country again.

Try and eat here at least once a year with 5 friends. Great beer, great food, great atmosphere. Only downside is restricted parking so carshare if you can.

Staying in nearby(1.7 miles) in Langford Bridge. Thursday 17th Feb went for dinner, cos why not it was only raining a bit and we needed a walk with the dogs. We had the Steak Ale pies with chips and veg; it was extremely good, as was the Devon Red Cider. So booked for Sunday lunch, on the 20th, which they managed to squeeze us in for 2pm. Raining again the 3 dogs weren't keen, but Wow, The Triple Meat carvery was a challenge to get through, but I managed it; very tasty. The beef was beautifully pink, and the horseradish hot. The pork and crackling were very good, the chicken cooked to perfection. After a short pause, I even managed to down a triple chocolate brownie and ice cream. The service was very impressive. A nearby table of about 16 got all their meals within about 2 mins of each other. Thoroughly recommend the place.

I visited for the first time yesterday and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

I took my wife there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and of high quality, and the service was incredibly friendly.
