Description

At IKEA's cafeteria, customers find a casual and budget-friendly dining experience. While the food, such as veggie meatballs and fish and chips, receives praise for its quality and affordability, service efficiency raises concerns. Long queues and inadequate staffing lead to delays, especially at peak times. Customers express frustration over the management's reliance on limited staff, impacting food availability and service speed. Despite these issues, the environment is typically clean and welcoming, with friendly staff dedicated to customer satisfaction. Overall, while the meals are delightful and economical, improvements in service are essential to enhance the overall experience.

I cannot believe this restaurant….i think we all know that IKEA produces a great value for money food experience…but the service and waiting time is just unbelievable. My background in hotel and catering management. So…. We wanted a quick snack part way through our journey between Weymouth and Falmouth. …. Two service points on right and left leading to the servery….with one person behind each… this would not be so bad if there was another back room staff topping up the servery bains Marie…. But the poor lady on ours was topping up fish and chips herself. First thing to do to resolve the problem would be to make use of the existing salad bar… we would have been quite happy using a proper salad bar which would have reduced the queue for the hot food…. We saw a manager come out to speak to someone re allergies with her I pad….she should have been out on the front line all the time! I know what the answer to my comments is going to be…..shortages of staff…. Well….with some training you could make use of some of the “shop floor” staff to help at busy times….it is just a bit of thinking outside the box and the service could be improved 100%. The final straw was the payment area….one person for the two serveries my food would have been so much hotter if I did not have to wait for such a long time to pay!

Swedish meatballs worth traveling an hour each way for! I'm from Providence and make the trip out to Stoughton every short while. The meatballs are THAT good! Not even shopping for furniture, either! The fried or mashed potatoes are both good options. Definitely worth the drive!

The food was fantastic, the restaurant had Covid restrictions in place, and the staff was very professional and friendly. The manager was out on the floor talking to customers and helping us navigate the menu. I will definitely be returning soon.
