Reviews summary

At IKEA's cafeteria, customers find a casual and budget-friendly dining experience. While the food, such as veggie meatballs and fish and chips, receives praise for its quality and affordability, service efficiency raises concerns. Long queues and inadequate staffing lead to delays, especially at peak times. Customers express frustration over the management's reliance on limited staff, impacting food availability and service speed. Despite these issues, the environment is typically clean and welcoming, with friendly staff dedicated to customer satisfaction. Overall, while the meals are delightful and economical, improvements in service are essential to enhance the overall experience.

Was Jannerbloke at Ikea a mag?

Wore ourselves out today trying to furnish and equip a bedroom from scratch as well as wandering through the endless useful cheap stuff section. Inevitably we needed refreshment. The cafeteria area is vast airy and has relaxed but open neat simple feel. We queued thinking... View all feedback.

What idcus dislikes about Ikea:

It's cheap, it's not a restaurant, it's exactly as you see it, you have to queue and pay! We had veggie meatballs with chips £3.95 and fish and chips with peas £4.75 and as we went on a Friday we had free tea and coffee... View all feedback.

Swedish meatballs worth traveling an hour each way for! I'm from Providence and make the trip out to Stoughton every short while. The meatballs are THAT good! Not even shopping for furniture, either! The fried or mashed potatoes are both good options. Definitely worth the drive!

The food was fantastic, the restaurant had Covid restrictions in place, and the staff was very professional and friendly. The manager was out on the floor talking to customers and helping us navigate the menu. I will definitely be returning soon.

Well run, friendly staff. clean and covid secure. You can see they are a busy outlet but it is all efficient and the staff seem to actually care which is not always the case in places like this.

The restaurant experience felt surreal, like something out of a George Orwell novel. We had to fill out a paper with our orders, but unfortunately, none of the items we requested were available despite having an hour left of service. The food I did receive was mediocre.

The new “covid19” precautions are ridiculous at the restaurant. People who are ready to sit down and eat are sent away, for those who are registered while these people are still shopping. Plenty of empty tables but they won’t let you sit down and eat. After you have your table is even worse. (another queue to get food) IKEA you were better off having your restaurant closed. You’re allowing people to be on top of each other going through the rest of the store but not sit down and eat like a normal person.

I cannot believe this restaurant….i think we all know that IKEA produces a great value for money food experience…but the service and waiting time is just unbelievable. My background in hotel and catering management. So…. We wanted a quick snack part way through our journey between Weymouth and Falmouth. …. Two service points on right and left leading to the servery….with one person behind each… this would not be so bad if there was another back room staff topping up the servery bains Marie…. But the poor lady on ours was topping up fish and chips herself. First thing to do to resolve the problem would be to make use of the existing salad bar… we would have been quite happy using a proper salad bar which would have reduced the queue for the hot food…. We saw a manager come out to speak to someone re allergies with her I pad….she should have been out on the front line all the time! I know what the answer to my comments is going to be…..shortages of staff…. Well….with some training you could make use of some of the “shop floor” staff to help at busy times….it is just a bit of thinking outside the box and the service could be improved 100%. The final straw was the payment area….one person for the two serveries my food would have been so much hotter if I did not have to wait for such a long time to pay!

The food was really good. The notice on the table says please take your tray back as this helps keep the cost down. Fair enough. What else keeps the cost down is having few staff. The busiest time of day and one person serving at either side and one person taking the money for both sides. I don’t hold the workers responsible,it is clearly poor management.

We were early for our meatball lunch so this was my 1st breakfast here. Very well priced. We had a sausage and mushroom bap each. The queue was big. Only two serving but very friendly. Queue for coffee machine too.

Disgusting fish and chips! Grey fish. Tasteless! Awful. Hardly anything else to choose from. Very limited choice across the board. What is going on. It used to be so good?
