El Coco Pirata

El Coco Pirata
3.7 / 5 (104 reviews)

Description

Coco Pirata offers a lively ambiance with a nostalgic nod to vibrant Mexican dining. While some diners rave about the delicious seafood and friendly service, others report long wait times and disappointing dishes. The restaurant's energetic atmosphere, enhanced by live music, can feel chaotic, especially with clashing sounds and additional charges for performers. Despite the flavorful menu and generous portions, some patrons found the pricing steep and the environment less than comfortable, with inadequate air conditioning. Ultimately, Coco Pirata may cater to fans of spicy seafood but may not suit all tastes or preferences.

The staff and our server were very friendly. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, our server made sure to regularly check on us. I ordered the sushi and it was delicious. A local band even performed, and they were pretty good! The only downside was that the air conditioning did not seem to be working properly, so it was a bit humid and hot inside. We had hoped for a cool respite from the sun, but instead, we only felt the humidity. Overall, everything else was great!

The food is delicious, but the music is a bit too loud and it's chilly inside.

We just left the Coco Pirata in Evans and had a great experience. We ordered the Calamari and Momisas. Both were excellent. Also ordered the fish fillet with the La Diabla sauce and the shrimp tacos. Everything we ordered! The food came very fast, service was exceptional and we definitely recommend this place. A diamond in the rough. Definitely worth the stop.
