Just a heads up: the first impression might not be great. The entire lower level of the hotel is a casino, which, like many small-town casinos in Nevada, has a distinct smell of stale cigarettes and lost hopes. However, I couldn't help but chuckle at the massive "Orange is the New Black" themed slot machine right at the entrance. Who knew that existed? Let's raise a toast to Poussey. #RIP Don’t let the overall vibe deter you. The rooms are actually quite nice and a steal for the price. I don’t know anywhere else that offers a two-bedroom suite for under $100. Plus, several famous personalities, both contemporary and historical, have stayed here. If it was good enough for Stephen King, it should be good enough for you! I like to think he stayed here while writing "Desperation," one of his lesser-known but still quite eerie books. Just a tip: don't read it while driving along the Loneliest Highway in America (Route 50)—consider yourself warned!
This cafe is no longer open; it has been replaced by Denny's. This was the Hotel Nevada's biggest mistake!
It used to be a very different place, and it was fantastic with its fresh homemade chicken fried steak. Now, it feels more like a Denny's. The food is still good, with decent options for breakfast, burgers, and more.
Unfortunately this is now no longer. They closed the cafe and turning it into a Dennys. Wish it were still open as we really liked this place.
Heinous. This place is disgusting and makes your clothes stink like cigarettes. Our bed was a challenge as well as it sunk in the middle which was awful for two people. We had to put up with a remodeling project going on that included banging, drilling and clanging all day. This was by far the worst hotel experience ever. Major thumbs down to this Historic hotel. Awful.
