It’s a fantast... read more I visited Ely several times last year, and this was my first experience at Cellblock Steakhouse. The ribeye steak I had was absolutely delicious! It’s a fantastic place. That said, I’m a bit disappointed that they close on Mondays and Tuesdays in the winter.

Even though it was a busy Friday, we only waited... read more Amazing food and a fantastic atmosphere! I brought my family of four here after arriving in Ely late at night. Even though it was a busy Friday, we only waited about 15 minutes. The prison cell theme is really unique, and anyone criticizing its authenticity clearly missed the explanation on the back of the menu. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us regularly. I had the medium-cooked Ribeye steak with a stuffed potato and house salad. My wife chose the filet mignon with the same sides, and her steak was one of the best I've had in a long time! Both steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The asparagus was tender and not overdone, which I really appreciated. The stuffed potato was okay, but next time I’ll go for a baked potato instead—it wasn’t bad, just not quite what I expected. The beans were delicious, especially with the bacon pieces and spices. Prices are a bit high, but that’s to be expected at a steakhouse. I would definitely recommend this spot!

The $33 rib eye was less than grocery store meat. How dare you call your restaurant a Steak House The steak was approaching inedible. The stuffed potato thing was like a potato skin boat filled with plastic spray can cheese foodsubstance. The problems don 't stop there but I don 't have all day to cover the details. Suffice it to say NOPE. And then therewas the snippy female host that seated us needs to grow a personality. We wasted our money. Sorry but that 's the truth. Changeyour menu to items that you can 't ruin. They even ruined the iced tea. Yes. They did. Really.
