Description

This casual, takeout-focused spot earns praise for fresh, made-to-order wings, crispy fried okra and indulgent, layered bacon-cheese fries at very affordable prices. While some flavors and portions (notably small wings) are inconsistent and often salty, many customers love the crunch and value. Fast window/drive-thru service is common, but order accuracy, phone ordering and owner communication have reportedly faltered. Ideal for budget-conscious wing lovers seeking bold sides, but expect variability and bring patience.

I'm not sure what changed, but I can confidently say I won't be returning. If you review my other feedback, you'll see that most of my reviews are positive and fair, having received over 8 million views. Unfortunately, it seems the staff at this restaurant could benefit from improving their attitude towards customers, as it felt like I was bothering them just by placing an order. Honestly, I've had much better service at the local McDonald's in Foley than I received here, and the owner's response to my feedback was anything but professional.

We ordered 30 wings and fried okra, but received only 20 wings and the okra. Although we were only charged for the 20 wings, we specifically ordered 30 for a reason. The okra was perfectly fried and quite tasty, though a bit salty. The wings, on the other hand, were small and only average in flavor—definitely salty. I could make better wings at home using my air fryer and my own homemade sauce. We decided to give this place a shot, but now I know I won’t be coming back. ADDENDUM: The "owner" responded to my review, and you can see her reply below. She pointed out that there are signs indicating that the food is cooked to order. However, she seems to have overlooked the part of my review where I mentioned placing my order 26 minutes before arriving. To me, “cooked to order” means they should start cooking it as soon as I place the order. Additionally, the wings were average at best—definitely on the salty side. The okra was good, fried to perfection, but again, too salty. With a little less salt, the okra could have been the best I've ever had. Finally, the hand-on-forehead emoji the "owner" used in her response perfectly represents the level of care given to customer service. Proceed with caution.

When I arrived at the drive-thru, the staff member was incredibly polite and greeted me with a smile throughout our interaction. Surprisingly, my order was ready in no time. The best part? The fries were still perfectly crispy and hot, packed with cheesy flavor in every bite! Unlike many places that simply pile cheese in one spot, DD's Wingz really knows how to layer their fries. I swear they must have added a layer of fries followed by cheese and bacon, then another layer of fries, more bacon and cheese, and topped it all off with ranch. It was delicious! The portion size was generous, and the price was unbeatable! I wouldn't change a thing and can't wait to sample more items from their menu. (Apologies for not having a photo—I swear my husband and I couldn't resist devouring them before it even crossed my mind, lol!)

My friends and family call me a wing connoisseur because I love to eat wings.I had high expectations for this place which unfortunately were not met. *Wing size 1 star. Very small wings.*Quality of meat 3 stars. Tasty. Cooked very well. Not rubbery like some other wing restaurants.*Crispiness 5 stars. Nice crunch to it. *Wing flavor 1 star. My wife and I both didn't taste the buffalo, Asian kick or honey habanero flavors. No spice to it. Mainly tasted sweet or hint of lime rather than spicy.Side note the combo is supposed to come with veggie sticks which didn't come with either of our two combos.

Saturday (10/28 was my first visit to DD's Wingz. It was the day of the Sausage Festival in Elberta, so I thought they might be kind of busy and called in my order of bacon, cheese, and ranch fries to be picked up. They were ABSOLUTELY the BEST I have ever had!!! I pulled up to the drive thru window and the person was very polite and smiled during the whole interaction, and my fries were ready really quickly. Even better than that, the fries were still crispy and hot, and there was cheesy goodness in every bite! Most places will just dump a lump of cheese in the middle and that's it. So most of your fries don't have anything on it, but I swear they must have put a layer of fries, then cheese and bacon, and then another layer of fries, with more bacon and cheese, and then ranch on top YUMMY! Huge portion, and the price, it just can't be beat! Don't change a thing!! Can't wait to try more of your offerings! : (Sorry there's not a picture, my husband and I devoured them before it even crossed my mind lol
