We’ve dined here before and always felt like this place was a cornerstone of Edmonds dining. Dinner at 6:30 on a Thursday felt a bit sleepy and off last night. Our food was good and so was our waitress, but the servers who brought food and cleared the tables were a big detraction. They kept anxiously clearing our plates, once when I was still eating, and then served our entrees without supplying new serve utensils. Just felt really off, and this place ain’t cheap.
We used to love the brunch at Salt and Iron, but this last time was not good. The corned beef hash came with runny eggs and was so mushy, it resembled canned. The other dish had what looked like about 1/4 of an avocado. For the price, it should have had a very generous portion of avocado. I know prices are up, but for $65 (no alcohol), I expected much more. Hope it was just a one off.
