Description
Hidden behind an unassuming storefront, this spotless, homey eatery serves authentic Northeastern Chinese fare—hearty, spice-forward noodles, biang biang, Lanzhou beef soup, liang pi, lamb skewers and addictive small plates. Generous portions and affordable prices, paired with friendly, often attentive service, make it a favorite for noodle lovers and adventurous diners. Some dishes show inconsistency—overly salty chicken, tough beef tendon, and a punchy cucumber prep—yet potstickers and many noodle specialties remain standout reasons to return.

My favorites are the BBQ lamb skewers, Lanzhou beef noodles, any of the Biang Biang dishes, and their chopped pork sandwiches. You should also try the garlic cucumber salad; it's quite good. Honestly, you should sample everything! Just dive in, and you'll see that their noodle dishes are quite generous as well. Make sure to come hungry!
Easily one of our favorite places. The food is simple but absolutely delicious and so addicting! After we came here the first time we came at least once a week for about half a year! We've slowed down, but we haven't stopped loving it for the extremely kind and friendly service and the incredible food. Our favorite items are the hot oil seared biang biang and Liang pi. The biang biang noodles are thick and have wonderful flavor. Very full and deep flavor with some saltiness. The Liang pi is prepared different just about every time we visit, but it's always incredible. The acidity, cold temperature, and cucumbers make it extremely refreshing and the gluten pieces provide a contrasting texture. The two of these together have a good balance of flavor and weight. I also strongly recommend the spicy sour potatoes and just about everything else!
This is not your typical Chinese restaurant: no orange chicken, no Kung Pao, etc... It stays true to its roots, offering dishes from the Northeast region of China. It is therefore an adventure for those who have not had such taste combinations which are full of great spices. One of the common dishes of this area is a full chicken over noodles and strong spices. It's enough for the whole family. There are many small dishes to try as well. It's a unique taste.
Biang-biang noodle was tasty. If you want to know what’s Qin food is, you got try the cruded pancake in mutton soup(forgot the name in the menu
Absolutely 5 stars! From the outside, Filialfront seems like an unassuming, ordinary restaurant, but it’s anything but that. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by an amazing aroma that tempts you while you decide what to order. The place is immaculate, and the service is quick and efficient. Every dish we tried was excellent. It's clear that they take great pride in their work.
