The service was perfect at the outset and then it took a bit of time to get the bill but that was ok. Ate here last night and i ordered the vegan 7 course meal. a few dishes were bland despite beautiful plating (specifically the first starter), but some of them... read more Ate here last night and i ordered the vegan 7 course meal. a few dishes were bland despite beautiful plating (specifically the first starter), but some of them knocked my socks off (65% chocolate with sesame bark, red pepper chutney and artichoke, miso caramel)!! soo delicious. i liked the chocolate old fashioned but it could do with more of a chocolate aroma/flavour. kombuchas were amazing though. the service was wonderful and so were the wine pairings. i would definitely recommend this place for vegans!! The me... read more We had a wonderful evening at Number One last night. The food was excellent, and we really appreciated their use of locally sourced Scottish ingredients. The menu was thoughtfully designed and well balanced. We left feeling satisfied but not overly full. The service was very good, with a professional and attentive team who made us feel well looked after. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. Loved each course, with the our table favorite as the veal and the least favorite, the lobster. Our sommelier was a trove full of knowledge which was delightful as we were served.
