Feedback
Reviews praise Montpeliers’ atmosphere, brunch and drinks but note uneven food quality and occasional slow service—popular spot with variable evenings.
Good value for money especially considering the area! The set menu also offers quite a good deal. Food was nice and staff very friendly. Great for catching up with a friend/ a (solo date :
Awful rude staff. Service was incredibly slow and dismissive. Food arrived cold. I asked the server politely for sugar for our coffee. He held up his hand to my face telling me he was busy. 10 minutes later I spoke to another server, now requesting a new takeaway coffee and the bill. Explaining I initially just needed sugar. No apology, no explanation. Just repeated half of my request back. You need sugar… eh no I need a new coffee and btw your manners and etiquette stinks! Dirty cutlery that was basically thrown down. Waited 15mins to take our order and no follow up until I complained and asked for bill. They also refused to remove the suggested and optional service fee. Also £60 for porridge, poached eggs, kids pancakes, 2 coffees and a couple slides for my 2 year old is a shocking price! Shame as been a frequent customer over the years. Last time we will be there as plenty of alternatives in bruntsfield.
Guess how much this was? It was 14 pounds. Plus we waited like an hour for it. Still a little speechless
