Contribute FeedbackNestled in Stockbridge, this Thai street food café has quickly gained a reputation for its vibrant and flavorful dishes, though experiences vary. While some diners rave about the authentic spices and quality, others express disappointment over inconsistencies in their orders, particularly regarding traditional favorites like Pad Thai and curry varieties. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere are frequently praised, making it an appealing spot for both eat-in and takeaway. Despite some hiccups with flavor and menu expectations, the restaurant remains a popular choice for those seeking fresh, exciting Thai cuisine in Edinburgh, earning accolades from many satisfied patrons.
Since Thai is our favorite food, we often order it at restaurants and cook it at home. Ordering here was fast and efficient, and our take-away order on a Thursday evening was ready in only 25 minutes. Even better, the portions were quite sizable; we ended up having enough left over for much of another meal. The Tom Yum chicken was a bit off; little lemon grass flavor and quite sweet. the star of our order; lots of lemon grass and spices. The Panang curry with tofu was tasty; but we did not find the pineapple listed as an ingredient on the menu. The Pad Thai chicken was huge; but it also lacked some flavor. All-in-all, we thought the food here was about average.
Called to resolve the issue. Offered to either let them pick it up and replace or refund. Guy on desk said I would receive a refund which I never received. Don’t like leaving a bad review but the issue was not resolved in over 4 weeks and I was extremely polite in my complaint. I have light blonde hair and my husband is bald ha so there was no way this came from us
Title says it all really. Pretty sure it was made with commercial sauce and not a very good one. Not very generous with the veg or protein either. Cheap in comparison with other Thai takeaways/restaurants but we didn’t find it good value unfortunately.
This was seriously worst fast food I’ve ever had. I’ve thought this was a joke first. Overcooked mushy noodles topped with tofu, was supposed to be chicken and some raw shredded carrots. I’d cook better at home blindfolded. Disgrace.
That is a really great place, fantastic eating, very authentic, good price and very friendly and helpful staff. I know the guy who works there.
