While some found the staff beautiful but easily distracted, others had an excellent breakfast experience. The pancakes were particularly praised, light and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness. A quick lunch option was also enjoyed, with fresh, high-quality ingredients at an affordable price. Overall, the cafe is highly recommended for fantastic breakfast and brunch options in Edinburgh, making it a top choice for those seeking something a little different.
Fantastic breakfast. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended. Fantastic choice for breakfast. Easy to find and staff helpful with directions and places to go to the nearest one.
The Bluebird Cafe seems to be starting from a very promising position
The food can be really good but contradicted by the staff working there. They're all really beautiful but can get easily distracted or flowy, especially when the cafe is full, which is quite often as it's so small.
Had a quick lunch in this tiny little cafe the other day. The menu mostly consists of soups and sandwiches, along with some breakfast items like pancakes. I went for the soup and half sandwich combo, which made for a well-priced, filling, and tasty midday meal. The ingredients were all fresh and high-quality. Service was friendly and efficient.
A lovely little place we stumbled across it by accident. The breakfast rolls are great value and service is very friendly.
