What User doesn't like about Jenners Main:
What extortionate prices they charge for a basic soup or sandwich let alone their mediocre main dishes. Many days they are sold out too of your first choice. It's not nearly so busy as it used to be they seem to be cutting back on staff food which is causing major problems at busy lunch times. It's a place that I will never return to. View all feedback. Comfortable elegant surroundings with marvelous views of the Scott monument and the Mound. Satisfying light lunch salads at reasonable cost. Friendly efficient service. View all feedback.

read moreJenners restaurant in Edinburgh offers a mix of highs and lows. While the cream tea disappointed with crispy scones, the restaurant has great views and good service. The hot meals were tepid and lacking in effort, but the goat cheese salad was delicious. The historic department store is declining, but could be revived with investment. With friendly staff and affordable wine, the restaurant provides a comfortable and elegant setting with marvelous views. Overall, despite some shortcomings, Jenners restaurant is still a good option for a light lunch or afternoon tea in Edinburgh.
