Instead of having breakfast in the hotel, discovered this cafe just around the corner. It's a must go to! Influences of Troy and Morocco in its decoration it's a warm and very friendly establishment. The food was brilliant. I had the full breakfast both days of my stay and I wasn't hungry until mid afternoon. The facilities were clean and we'll stocked. What acchapp doesn't like about Cafe Truva Art College:
We originally thought this place was closed for good when we arrived (conveniently around the corner of our hotel), but it was only closed for a few days around the Christmas holidays. We were pleasantly surprised to see it open the other day, so we popped in for breakfast. My husband ordered a Turkish breakfast, my kids ordered a simple breakfast eggs, bacon, toast, and I ordered a Full breakfast. All were delicious... View all feedback.
Great restaurant for breakfast, very good service, attentive stuff. Food was great value for money. Hot chocolate is very nice
This is a touristy place on a busy street – the Royal Mile – and the food was a bit better than adequate given that this is a tourist spot. My wife had the falafel and hummus with eggplant and some salad. The only thing not up to par on her plate was the falafel – the hummus and eggplant were quite good. I had a chicken kebab that was not a kebab – it was three pieces of lightly grilled chicken that was not great but hit the spot. The pita was fresh, the couscous was well prepared. Service was fast and excellent. The meal was reasonably priced. You could do a lot worse in a tourist spot.
After six hours of sightseeing including the Edinburgh Castle, I stopped at this Cafe at a small and quiet street to have a late lunch. The Cafe is pretty spacious, the environment is very relax. Some customers were having coffee and chatting; some were working on their computer. The restaurant did not seem have a lot staff, a gentle man worked behind the counter as well as as a server. I ordered some tea and their Jacket Potato with Tuna Corn as well as a bowl of their Bean. The food was delicious.
All the offerings sounded really nice. The place did not look very busy but apparently it was. It has an inner room as well as the room we were. As we had not much time to have a lunch we graciously ignored the fact that the server guy barked at us to sit down. We ordered and got a slightly stodgy burek covered in copious amount of cheese. It was ok, but would not repeat this experience.
Went here once on our recent trip to Edinburgh. If you looking for cheap and tasty breakfast its good place to visit.Decor not in my taste but everybody got different.Staff very friendly and helpful .
