We also had starters which we shared . Stage were friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Would definitely stop here again if passing View all feedback.
What Linchops doesn't like about The Bridge:
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I stopped in tonight with my 6-year-old son who needed to use the bathroom urgently. Despite offering to order food if he could use the restroom first, three separate staff members refused to let him use it. As a result, he ended up peeing in the car park which was humiliating for him. We decided to take our business to Cafe Sixty Six further down the road and purchased... View all feedback.
We go to The Bridge about 4 times per year. We are not very extravagant but when we do eat out we want it to be better than I can make at home. Any guest we bring with us all love it too. Every meal we’ve had here has been excellent! My favourites are Twice Baked Cheese Soufflé, The Seafood Linguini, my hubby loves the Fish Chips (he has this every time he goes, lol) . My son loves the Squid starter and I also love the Pate when it’s on. I had a gorgeous fish course in spring but I forget the name of the fish which was the whitest fish I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend Bridge Bistro.
A fantastic chance stopping, will I am sure lead to more planned visits going forward. Food was superb, service, atmosphere and feel of the place all excellent. Having driven past this place often through its decline (which I now know to be 10years ago plus) this was great to see what a turnaround a place can have with clearly a great team behind it. Will most definitely be calling again and would highly recommend it.
We stopped at this restaurant on our way to Scotland to have a drink and use the restroom with our two young children. We were refused service because we did not want to order food. We have stopped here before for drinks and a meal as it is a convenient halfway point, but we will not be returning in the future.
Called in whilst walking. They had just opened and there was one other customer in there. I asked if I could just have a coffee and they said “no we are only serving lunch.” There were at least 3 waiting staff all doing nothing. Why would it be so difficult just to serve me a cup of coffee I would have paid for it!!! Obviously only get customer service if you spend a lot of money here.
My group of six stopped at this restaurant for lunch on our way from Glasgow to York. The friendly staff greeted us and quickly took our drink order, followed by our meal order. They even accommodated our picky 2-year-old with plain pasta when she wasn't feeling well. Unfortunately, she got sick on the floor just as our meals were being served. The staff helped us clean up, provided a bucket, and kept my meal warm while I tended to my daughter. They even suggested a little flat coke to help settle her stomach, and brought out some cucumber, her favorite, in a dish. The staff's kindness and helpfulness turned what could have been a difficult situation into a manageable one. The meal was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. My daughter perked up during lunch, thanks to the staff's care and attention. The restaurant itself is lovely, with beautiful decor and immaculate toilets. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to others traveling south and look forward to visiting again in the future. Great service and a wonderful experience overall!
