Expensive and no ketchup in restaurant told to queue up in take away queue to purchase separately whilst food goes cold Avoid won't be back
My wife and I visited this restaurant on a busy evening and ordered takeaway fish and chips. However, there was some confusion with the order when the server tried to add extras, which made the payment process a bit frustrating. Additionally, the fish and chips were not as good as we had experienced in the past. Overall, it was a slightly disappointing experience.
The cafe had a restaurant ambiance, but the prices were higher. When our food arrived, we requested sauce and were informed that we needed to purchase it at the counter. This caused our food to grow colder. Overall, we were not impressed at all.
Read so much about the chippy online, awards etc. We arrived Friday, and as our tradition, went to local chippy for dinner. £30.80 for 2 large, greasy fish, chicken chunks (nuggets), large chips and portion onion rings, not to mention 20p for paper bag to carry it (bags in Glasgow are free if your buying hot food takeaway) would I return to Shap chippy? No way, only here till Monday, but when in area again we will go elsewhere for our takeaway
