Have never had bad food or poor service. Small town diner feel to it. We get the breakfast buffet most frequently. Competitively priced The decor and layout is the reason for the reduction in stars. I have no clue what this building use to be, but it doesn't appear to be a restaurant, very mixed matched...could use some modern updates but, in the end, your there to ear right? The decor doesn't stop me from coming back.
No frills diner type restaurant. Hand pressed burgers were phenomenal. They serve lots of different foods here, including reindeer sausage. Not crazy about the fried mozzarella sticks, but the fried mushrooms were great! Server was very nice, food came out relatively quickly.
Alert: Under new ownership! NOT GOOD! at Wow! It was shocking how bad this place was. The new ownership has ruined Bear Mountain Grill. The buffet was the most disgusting buffet I have seen. The food was sparse and had been sitting for a long time. There were more empty tables than the were tables with people sitting at them. Anyone who knows Bear Mountain Grill the way it used to be knows what I am talking about. There WAS always a wait on a Saturday morning.
Been meaning to try this place a while but it's not that easy to see from the Old Glenn. Happened upon it and decided to give her a try. When you enter you'll notice it was something else once upon a time, but makes a good dining area. A large dining area with buffet and kitchen at front. A little dated but nothing horrible. The staff seated us fairly quick and was over to take our drink order before we were settled. I settled on the buscuits and gravy with home fries. The gravy was a creamy gravy with sausage in it. The biscuits a little old, probably day old. Not bad overall taste. The home fries are the frozen kind and not fresh cut which seems to be the norm for AK. The staff were all nice and attentive. Not a bad spot to grab breakfast. For me the jury is still out, I give 3 stars for now.
Eggs and sausage links were merely ok but like a Google reviewer from yesterday stated, the food is just left to sit out and not rotated for freshness, which is crucial for a buffet. I hadn't eaten here since October 2018; the horribly greasy food, lack of buffet options, and aforementioned lack of quality control ensures I won't be back. Other reviewers are spot-on; this place has done a 180 degree turn since it's changed ownership, and not for the better.
