Longriders Cafe - DWELLINGUP
Longriders Cafe
Description
At Longriders, diners experience a mixed bag of culinary encounters. While friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere shine through, the food quality often disappoints. Some patrons rave about flavorful burgers and crispy sweet potato chips, while others report undercooked chicken and uninspired dishes like tiny wings and parmis lacking sauce. The vibe appeals to many, especially for breakfast and casual lunch, with the added perk of strong beers. However, inconsistent food preparation and service issues could deter repeat visits. Overall, Longriders offers potential, but diners should approach with caution regarding their menu selections.

I ordered a garden salad with chicken, but the chicken was practically inedible; it was undercooked, translucent, and pink. One bite made me feel ill. When the older waitress asked if everything was alright, I brought up the issue with the chicken, and her response was dismissive: "It's cooked, you're the only person who's ever complained," before she walked away. There was no attempt at customer service from her. I even have a photo as proof, where the color is clearly from the balsamic dressing. I wouldn't serve that chicken to a dog—it was extremely overpriced. My partner also had a bad experience with his burger, which upset his stomach, and the ciabatta bun was rock-hard. The venue itself had a nice atmosphere, and the young waitress in training was wonderful. However, if the older staff member is present, I cannot recommend Longriders. I’m giving two stars only for the venue and the younger waitress. IN RESPONSE ——— From a customer’s perspective, perhaps you should apologize for serving substandard food. The way you addressed the younger waitress in front of customers was more embarrassing for you than for us or her—it showed a lack of self-awareness. The chicken was terrible and disgusting. I’m trying to keep my feedback somewhat positive. Regarding the eggs, I simply wanted them however they come by default; if there's an option for poached, then that's great, but definitely not boiled with the burgers. We will continue to support many local businesses, but we’re unlikely to return to Longriders.
The food was pretty good. The parmigiana was a little smaller than expected. What really made this place was the lady serving us, who was extremely friendly, and gave excellent service. This place really made it's mark with it's character and welcomingness. Worth a visit for sure. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
Nice little place to have lunch. Burgers were very tasty and didn 't have to much sauce on, which was a pleasant surprise you could actually taste what the burger tasted like and not just sauce . The were very fries good (nice and crispy). Milkshakes tasted the same as most other places as syrups are always used to make them. We 've been to Dwellingup a couple of times and never noticed them. I would say they are worth stopping at if you looking for a good Burger. Parking: Parking at the back of Long Riders Wheelchair accessibility: Long wheelchair ramp
