What a great cafe! We had 2 x dinners, 2 x breakfasts as well a coffee and cake at the Blue Wren Cafe last weekend - we absolutely loved it! The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is wholesome and tasty. If the lamb shank and barley soup is on the menu - do yourselves a favour and have some - simply amazing - the best soup I have ever tasted!! View all feedback.
What Felicita Akvilina dislikes about Blue Wren Cafe:
Something is going on at the Blue Wren. We've been told off for sitting at a table after being told to sit there. We've been told we are closing at 3pm on a Sunday when so many people wanted to have a coffee or food after coming in off the Bib Track. So we went down to Longrider Cafe and they couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. It's the little things guys....we won't be racing back. View all feedback.
Very nice, lovely quaint building a bit quirky. Our lunch was delicious. Extensive menu choice and very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend a visit.
I had pumpkin soup and bread roll for lunch and it was the BEST pumpkin soup I ever had. The bread roll was superb too. Next day I went back for a sausage roll, it was delicious too. We liked this place also because they welcome dogs at outside tables. Will definitely come back!
Dropped by this cafe last weekend for a morning coffee and found this cafe beautiful. Yet I’d like to point out that takeaway cups were terrible with leaking so it had hands and clothes wet inside the car. Should be changed asap I reckon.
If you come at peak hour, like during Sunday lunch time you will find it hard to get a table and wait time will be longer. However, food and coffee is good. The pumpkin soup is worth trying. And they have got a lovely backyard.
Seemed like a nice place. Freezing cold though when it was raining. They have two wood fire places and it would have been beautiful if they were on. Would have stayed longer. Anyway, food was okay, coffee and hot chocolate was good. The place looks inviting, we’ll sign written being on the corner like they are. Like I said though we didn’t hand around long because the fireplaces weren’t lit up.
