Description

Copa offers a vibrant atmosphere paired with attentive service, making it a delightful spot for dining. Guests have enjoyed cocktails and various dishes, with some standout items like the plantains and meatballs receiving high praise. However, inconsistencies in food quality were noted, particularly with bland flavors and a disappointing flan. While many appreciated the focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, some felt the prices did not reflect the dining experience adequately. Despite these critiques, the charming decor and friendly staff left a positive impression, contributing to a mixed yet generally favorable reputation among diners in Durham.

Food and service were excellent. They got us in and out in time for our show at DPAC. Good variety on the menu.

The item on the menu was the pork chop. I thought that they had a nice selection of items. My problem was with the service. If you are 5 people, you should make a reservation for 6 and say one person cancelled. The only way they would accommodate 5 was to put an end seat at a 4 person table. I also had a problem with the food service. The Tapas entree came just after we had received the first course so we had to get the waiter to take it back. There certainly wasn 't room on our small table! The waiter was knowledgeable and good, but the servers could only identify the food by the Cuban name which was 'Greek ' to us.

This restaurant is excellent. There are several vegan options clearly marked with VV on the menu. While there are more non-vegan options available, there are still plenty of choices for vegans. Since it is a tapas restaurant, it is recommended to order multiple dishes to share.

Our reserved table was too near the door and very cold. Small portions and needed far more flavor

My dining companions and I tried the same dishes as Turtleveg, along with a delightful salad made with fresh tomatoes. We had the opportunity to chat with the chef, who mentioned that the majority of their vegetables come from a local farm. The menu featured vegan options for every course except for dessert, so we recommended that they consider adding something for those with dietary restrictions in that category as well.
