The wood-coated dining room has beef, fish, chicken and vegetarian dishes. The complete menu is served in the tavern, including hearty pub food, beer and full alcohol. The “Blue” as locals call it, is known in summer for their delicious grilled oysters. This scenic little jewel that was just off Hwy. 116 in historic Duncans Mills, CA has been wildly popular for many years, but closed for a few years (discovered) and just reopened in December 2008. The current owners plan to retain the original charm of the place, “If it is not broken, not repair” it sums up. The local LOVE the “Blue” and you will see an interesting mix of people from the surrounding area: cowboys, businessmen, golfers, holidaymakers, surfer villages, it seems that this place attracts only those looking for reasonable prices food, drink and fun. People go out to hike from East and South Bay to eat here and experience the charm of Duncans Mills. Live bands play in the tavern from 18:00 to about 9:30 or 10:00 Wednesday Saturday, with live music on the garden terrace on Sunday afternoon. Best bets: Calamari, roasted beat salad, onion rings, 100% Angus burger, tri-tip, chicken potcake, meat loaf, Mac cheese, baby ribs, and the Bailey cheese cake. The staff and the cook are quite new so that they still have the bend with fast service and consistency, but the staff is friendly and very courteous and everyone has a great time. It is a very welcoming, casual, comfortable place. No one is pretentious... It's a kind of homecoming. Pay attention to the historical marking on the wall while you go to the restaurant... You get a very interesting story lesson about the notorious villain “Black Bart”. dinner Wednesday Sunday at 17:00; Lunch Saturday Sunday 1:00-4:00; children's menu and nightly specialties; eat in or take away; Full bar with live music 5 nights a week; Good disabled access
