Great food and service. We love their burritos and margaritas. The kids love the queso and tacos.
I am grateful for a fantastic recommendation from a local resident in Dubuque, as this turned out to be an excellent dinner choice. I visited on a busy weeknight and was warmly welcomed. My server, Ramon, was not only spot on with his suggestions but also a genuinely kind man who provided positive and friendly customer service. The starter of chips and salsa was quite enjoyable, with fresh, homemade chips paired with a flavorful salsa. Ramon recommended the carne asada, and it was outstanding! Served on a 12-inch oval plate, the portion was generous and included delicious beans, rice, tortillas, and guacamole. I loved it—it was cooked to perfection, and I would order it again in a heartbeat. In fact, the portions at Los Aztecas are sizable all around, even the soft drinks. Overall, I had a great customer experience, with delicious food and excellent service, and there is plenty of on-site parking, making the entire visit a positive one.
Taco Bell is better than the diarrhea platers in this joint. I couldn't eat the nachos because they were soo water logged and they looked like they recyclef the waste food from other custome's meals. I have NEVER had a meal so bad. It wasn't even with the right meat. It was the grossest thing I've ever seen. And $6.00 for 5 tablespoons of guacamole? It's not even half the size of the photo on the menu. Seriously, you would have better food from a Taco Bell.
We stayed at motel next door and walked over. Saw mouse station baits and shredded snake skin outside. They still had masks required signs still up. We didn't have along and get it's Iowa who have no mask mandate. They let us eat. We shared 3 enchiladas beef and chicken. They also had a white cheese sauce on them. We've had better. Table next to us had chips all over the carpet.
During our visit to Dubuque, IA, we decided to stop by this restaurant for lunch. We were welcomed promptly and guided to our table without delay. Our server offered us a complimentary basket of tortilla chips with salsa, which was fresh and had a nice kick. We ordered the Las Yolandas, which included three chicken enchiladas served with rice, lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole, as well as the Huevos con Chorizo, accompanied by beans and rice. The chorizo was cooked to perfection and not overly greasy. Everything we ordered was delicious and satisfying. While I wouldn't say it was the best Mexican food I've ever experienced, our overall dining experience was quite good. The service was casual yet friendly, and the restaurant has its own parking lot, making parking very convenient.
