My wife and I attended quite by fuke to be honest. we stumbled over forsters, while we are just walking and archetypal tourist. but we were glad we had it. eati... read more My wife and I attended quite by fuke to be honest. we stumbled over forsters, while we are just walking and archetypal tourist. but we were glad we had it. eating is really good. the restaurant is actually a whole way from the tourist route, but not so far that it should turn it off. we would say it is worth visiting the effort, especially if they prefer decent farewell and are not robbed by the usual tourist hotspots! we had carving and a burger; the burger was her special xxl and was delicious! the quality of eating was good, the portions generous and the service good. to complete it, we paid about 35€ with drinks, which is not so bad in these days. worth a visit.

We went to Försters again this week, and I was really looking forward to it because last time I left completely full and totally satisfied... the chicken burger... read more We went to Försters again this week, and I was really looking forward to it because last time I left completely full and totally satisfied... the chicken burger was really great and plenty for my girlfriend, but unfortunately my steak with seasoned meat was really very small for over 25 euros and I wasn't full. I also had an apple pie with cream so I wouldn't go home annoyed. Otherwise, the staff were really nice and friendly.

Visit 1 Company Christmas part... read more Two years ago, we gave this restaurant a 5 star rating. In December, we visited twice and were extremely disappointed both times. Visit 1 Company Christmas party: The waiter took our drink and food orders at breakneck speed, practically pushing and shoving. The food arrived, and from then on, we felt completely on our own. We had to ask for drinks; there was no one to inquire about desserts or anything else. This led to some guests leaving immediately after the main course. Visit 2 A family Christmas dinner booked months in advance for almost 20 people. Our expectations: a delicious, traditional Christmas meal with family, no one having to cook. Reality: the same waiter, ordering food as quickly as possible (some didn 't even have drinks yet); duck leg, duck breast, and goose leg were already sold out, leaving only four goose breasts for the entire table. Our request to exchange the dumplings for potatoes was refused – they claimed the restaurant didn 't serve potatoes. Spoiler alert: the menu stated that potatoes were served with the steak, and a child at the table did receive potatoes. The sauce that used to be served separately with the roast seems to be gone. Ordering more drinks was difficult again. On the plus side: the food was tasty, and the waitress behind the bar, for example, was a pleasant surprise. All in all, however, the service didn 't make you feel truly welcome, but rather rushed and dismissed as soon as you ordered your food. A shame. 2.5 stars and probably not worth returning to.
