The Sunchoke Soup wit... read more We have visited Clever Rabbit several times since its opening, and our most recent visit on Friday was the best meal we've ever had there. The Sunchoke Soup with scallops was outstanding, and the sauce on the Bucatini Pasta with house-made noodles was packed with flavor. Although I'm not usually a fan of mole, the Chicken with mole sauce was so good that I would order it again without hesitation. For something heartier, I highly recommend the Trout; it was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The staff and management were always available and eager to help. Honestly, everything was perfect!

We did several different appetizers and everything was outstanding. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Clean and well kept. The drinks were also great and I thought it was reasonably priced.

Our server Ryan (ask for him, he's the best! was already knowledgeable about the full menu, and was supremely confident in the restaurant's ability to provide allergy safe meals. They use minimal nuts on the menu, and the few dishes that use nuts had a dedicated prep. Only 3 of the 12+ dishes contained nuts of any kind, with one of those only using pine nuts. They rotated the menu often, but the staff is very informed on changes, ingredients and prep. Our allergies are PN/TN but they really can accommodate any allergies and can make substitutions or omissions. The best part? 7/7 of the dishes we ordered were 10/10 delicious. They are also super kid friendly, with an awesome kids menu. One of the hosts even brought our little man an etch-a-sketch to play with! Like Split Rail, this is one of those allergy gems in Chicago. Feel safe, confident and excited to dine with Clever Rabbit!
